I have personaly handpicked my foundation stock over many years.
All came from the very best sources throughout the USA & Canada at a time
when top quality was in abundance.
All my mares range between 30 and 34 in Max, all are Fully Registered.
Nowadays we breed our own stock including Champion and winners for others as well as ourselves.
Our Exports are now in Belgium, The Netherlands, France, Ireland.
In the UK from Scotland down to Worcestershire and onto Surrey, Herts, Kent etc. Please take a look at Our Testimonials page.
We practise a "Mares first " breeding policy and no longer breed our mares until at least 4 years of age.
Arranbrook's Own code of ethics.
* We do not and never have inbred our Donkeys.
* We have decided to adhere to the advice from The Donkey Breed Society , who consulted numerous veterinary surgeons on the correct age to breed Jennet's and no longer breed our own Jennets before their 4th year. Their welfare is of paramount importance to us.
* We do not wean our foals before the age of 6 months unless there is a medical reason to do so.
* We NEVER breed our Jennets on foal heat and find the practise totally uncalled for.
Usually we breed after the last foal is fully weaned unless the Jennet is being rested.
* ALL visiting Jennet's will have be swabbed by own vet before arriving at the Stud.
* No Jennet's under their third year will be bred and we do not accommodate with foal at foot. NFFR is offered.

Annie will always be special to us being our very first Miniature Donkey.
She was bred here in England.
Did she do us well during her first season in the show ring!
She gained Reserve Champion Jennet at the Royal Highland show,
then DBS Champion Yearling at Braco Donkey show along with Reserve Champion Mare .
During her second year she was also reserve Champion Miniature Donkey at Peterborough show.
Annie will even shake "hands" on command for a mint!
As a brood jennet her first foal, a jenny by Itsy Bitsy Tomcat, which was Exported to Holland.
Another jenny foal now living in Ireland and her last foal a boy for a change really was show quality and the best so far I thought.
Annie is now in foal to our Tri-Colour stallion Outlaw.
COUNTRY MUSIC'S DIXIE NOLAN
Dark Brown
33in.

Muliti First Prize winning incuding Great Yorkshire show.
Dixie, a Garth Brooks daughter, was imported from Texas along with Country Music's Johnny Paycheck in 2004.
I will always be indebted to her breeder Rhetta McAlister for sending me two of her very best foals.
Johnny was outstanding and has left me a wonderful legacy, literally, while Dixie's foals are always absolutly fabulous.
Pictured below, left, her first foal Arranbrook Sheer Elegance now in Ireland.
I have retained her last foal Arranbrook Bedazzled, photo right,
by our homebred sorrel stallion Arranbrook Bobby Dazzler ( now in France) to
add to my herd as she is my second generation.
I plan to show her in the near future.

BERRY RIDGE EARLY FROST
Grey Dun
34in
1st Mares class Lambhill show 2010
1st Mares class MMDA Nationals 2010, no further award of BOS offered this year!
For me Early Frost epitomises just what a Miniature Donkey should look like, a Standard Donkey in Miniature!
She is a Beautiful, very correct jennet with a neat small head, large eye, deep, wide chest and fantastic hip.
I would be quite happy to have a barn full of grey mares exactly the same as her.
We spotted her in Frank O'Sullivan's Herd whilst visiting in summer 2007.
She reminded us so much of Country Music's Wynonna Judd, The 2004 NMDA National Champion!
I would like to Thank Red Oak Stud in Ireland for the chance to purchase this Beautiful jennet.
Her Sire the sorrel LCR Valentino 75th passed away at a young age so very few of this bloodline around.
Frosty's first foal was a beautiful jenny Arranbrook Bridget Jones by Old West Limited Edition.
Bridget is now in a show home in Surrey and is one I always wished that I had kept.
Frosty then foaled a stunning tiny ( 18.5 in at 2 days so much for any height theory's which I have never subscribed to myself)
jack foal Arranbrook Storminateacup, by Country Music's Johnny Paycheck.
Unfortunately Frosty is not convinced showing is her thing so as she is a winner she can remain at home
and give me some future stars instead!
FUTURE STARS SERIOUS BREEDING = ASTONISHING RESULTS

June won the NMDA Nationals Jennets title and Best Opposite Sex in show that year and at just 10 months old!
